Korea Telecom and Hanaro Telecom have selected Conexant-based Ethernet asynchronous digital subscriber line (ADSL) modems for use in their networks.

Korea Telecom and Hanaro Telecom are the two largest telecommunications and service providers in Korea.

ADSL uses existing phone company lines to send high-speed digital signals. There are ADSL modems at both ends of the transmission -- on the customer premises equipment (CPE) side and the telephone company central office side, through a digital subscriber line access multiplexer (DSLAM).
