THE WOMEN'S LAW SYMPOSIUM, a student organization at Florida State University College of Law, raised $5,000 for the Refuge House Capital Campaign, with proceeds from their annual silent auction. The WLS has a long history of supporting Refuge House, the local Leon County domestic violence center, with donations that range from needed supplies for the emergency shelter to financial support.

This year, the WLS raised its largest financial gift to date, in an effort to assist with the capital campaign Refuge House has underway to build a new emergency shelter and child care center.
