Caption: THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA Levin College of Law Trial Team captured first place in the Trial Lawyers Section's Annual Chester Bedell Memorial Mock Trial Competition, held during the Bar's recent Midyear Meeting in Miami. Winning team members were Paula Ferris, who also was named "Best Advocate," Fermin Lopez, Tony Sos, and Betty Toussaint.
Also competing were Mackenson Bernard, Harley Brook, Desiree Demonbreun, Shawntoyia Grier, Yolanda Green, Bradley Harper, and Lindsay Topping. Team president Michael Pike said team members sacrificed most of their holiday break to practice under tutelage of coach Judge Phyllis Kotey.
