Sybase Inc.(wins $12 million DOD contract for Adaptive Server Enterprise DBMS)

Sybase Inc. of Emeryville, Calif., signed a $12 million Blanket Purchasing Agreement (BPA) with the Dept. of Defense (DOD). The first delivery order under the BPA is for Sybase's portal-ready database Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE). Sybase will offer ASE on NT, UNIX and Linux. ASE is an open development architecture for creating scalable, reliable applications.
