BAE SYSTEMS AN/UPX-37 Digital Interrogator receives AIMS certification.(from the U.S. DoD International AIMS Program Office)

BAE SYSTEMS North America announced recently that its Advanced Systems business unit, with headquarters in Greenlawn, New York, has received AIMS level certification of its AN/UPX-37 IFF Digital Interrogator from the U.S. DoD International AIMS Program Office.

AIMS is the military acronym for an air traffic control radar beacon system which incorporates Identification, Friend or Foe (IFF) technology to allow military users to quickly differentiate between allied and unknown or enemy weapon systems platforms.

The United States Department of Defense International AIMS Program Office at Robins AFB, Georgia, has oversight responsibility for the system's IFF architecture.
