OPNET Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:OPNT), a provider of management software for networks and applications, today announced that OPNET Analysis, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary, has been awarded the second of four possible contract extensions to continue to work on the U.S. Department of Defense's Network Warfare Simulation (NETWARS) program. NETWARS is a software application for analyzing defense-related network communications.
Today's announcement follows OPNET's successful delivery of software and services as prime contractor for NETWARS in 2004. In 2004, funding included the initial contract extension for $3.5M, followed by $542,428 in follow-on work.
