OPEN CALL FOR NEW AND EMERGING SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (NEST).

The European Commission has launched an open call for proposals for new and emerging science and technology (NEST) under the 'anticipating scientific and technological needs' activity of the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6). This is one of the areas covered by the 'integrating and strengthening the European Research Area' specific programme.

This call relates to the following NEST activities:

- INSIGHT - Research projects aimed at assessing new discoveries and newly-observed phenomena, where the latter may indicate important potential problems or risks to society;

- ADVENTURE - Research projects, in emerging areas of knowledge and on future technologies, in particular in multidisciplinary fields, which are highly innovative and involve high...
