PHILIPS 4TH QUARTER SEMICONDUCTOR SALES UNCHANGED.(Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V.)(Brief Article)

Philips Electronics 4th quarter semiconductor sales are unchanged in dollars compared to 3rd quarter sales, according to a group representative on November 18. Semiconductor sales will be "more or less stable" in the 4th quarter, financial director Jan Hommen said at a Morgan Stanley analysts conference in Barcelona.

The Dutch giant confirmed objectives for its electronic and medical equipment divisions. Philips is on the way to achieving its 14% operational margin objective for 2004 for the medical equipment division, Mr Hommen added. Margins for electronic goods are picking up compared to the 3rd quarter of 2004, according to the same source.
