The Warsaw Court of Appeal rejected an appeal on 29 March brought by Vivendi Universal (VU) subsidiary ET/Telco, concerning its conflict with the Polish Elektrim group, allied to Deutsche Telekom, for control of Poland's leading mobile telephony operator PTC. The Warsaw court has ruled that a decision by the Vienna Trade Tribunal challenging a previous verdict by the Vienna Arbitration Tribunal, ruling that the transfer in 1999 of shares in PTC held by Elektrim to ET/Telco was "ineffective" and allocating them to the Elektrim group.
