KAZAKHSTAN: FOOD CONTRACT CORPORATION PURCHASES 450,000 TONS OF GRAIN.(Brief Article)

Kazakhstan's Food Contract Corporation (FCC), the state agent for grain produce, has purchased 450,000 tons of grain from the harvest of 1999. The total cost of the purchase was $32.1 million. The FCC had originally planned to purchase 870,000 tons for the state reserve, but offers at the price it was willing to pay were low.
