TUNISIA: EUROPEAN-MEDITERRANEAN INDUSTRIAL SUMMIT OPENS.(Brief Article)

According to Al-Ra'i newspaper (May 13, 2000), the 4th European-Mediterranean Industrial Summit opened in Tunisia yesterday. More than 150 representatives from the European and Mediterranean Labour Unions and the European Commission are participating in this two-day summit. The participants will discuss the barriers to establishing a European-Mediterranean Free Zone.
The participant Mediterranean states in this summit are Algeria, Cyprus, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Malta, Morocco, Turkey, Tunisia, Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
