SYRIA: SYRIAN-SWISS TRANSPORTATION DISCUSSION.(Brief Article)

According to Al-Baath newspaper (June 5, 2000), a Swiss delegation recently arrived in Damascus to hold talks with the Syrian Minister of Transportation, Mr. Makram Ubeid, along with some executives form the Syrian Civil Aviation Authority. The Syrians presented the development and future plans regarding their land, sea, air and railway transportation sectors.
Moreover, the two parties discussed the resumption of the Swiss Air's flights to Damascus, which were suspended as of 1990. The two parties discussed introducing Syrian Airways' flights from Damascus to Switzerland.
