According to Al-Ittihad newspaper (June 13, 2000), the Deputy Director of the Abu Dhabi National Hotels Company, Mr. Ali Hamad Al-Zaabi, estimates the value of the company's projects in the upcoming two years at Dh 700 million. The deputy director added that the company's hotels had reported high occupancy rates during the first 5 months of 2000, compared to the corresponding period in 1999.

The 5-star hotels reported up to 68% occupancy rate, while the 4-star and 3-star hotels reported up to 90% occupancy rate in the first 5 months of 2000, an average 2% increase compared with the corresponding period in the previous year.
