UAE: AGREEMENT TO IMPLEMENT DOLPHIN PROJECT.(natural gas pipeline)(Brief Article)

According to Al-Quds newspaper, the UAE Offset investment concern has signed an agreement with the American Enron and the French Totalfina regarding their participation in the Dolphin Project for transporting natural gas from Qatar to the Middle East. The newspaper reports that Offset is the lead contractor responsible for implementing the Dolphin Project.
This includes the transportation of 3 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day from the northern undersea gas fields in Qatar to the ports of Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Oman via an 800-kilometer pipeline. The newspaper notes that Elf, a subsidiary of the French Totalfina concern, will carry out the drilling and gas production, while Enron will focus on project management and marketing the gas.
