SOUTH KOREA: E-BAY ENTERS KOREAN MARKET.(partners with Auction and Lycos)(Brief Article)(Statistical Data Included)

According to JoongAng Ilbo newspaper (June 10, 2000), eBay Inc. (eBay.com), the world's leading Internet auction company, will soon enter the Korean market by forming a strategic marketing alliance with local online auction firm, Auction (www.auction.co.kr), and Internet portal service provider Lycos Korea (www.lycos.co.kr).
The two companies will serve as eBay's domestic marketing agents for one year. The three companies will link their home pages. Auction and Lycos are to receive $3 each time a web-user subscribes to eBay via their respective home pages.
