RUSSIA: "ELEKTROSVYAZ" OF NOVOSIBIRSK TO INSTALL "SIEMENS" COMMUTATIONAL EQUIPMENT.(Brief Article)(Statistical Data Included)

Telecommunications operator "Elektrosvyaz" of Novosibirsk, has made an advance payment of 299,000 euros to the Russian-German joint venture "Izhtel" in Izhevsk, in the Udmurtia region, for the supply and installation of "Siemens" commutational equipment. The total value of the contract is 747,000 euros.
The new project will expand the exchange capacity of a number of district exchanges, while replacing old coordinating and analog equipment with digital equipment. The contract also involve the installation of new software at the Novosibirsk long-distance exchange.
