MIDDLE EAST: STANDARDS FOR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PROTECTION.(World Intellectual Property Organization)(Brief Article)

Al-Jazirah newspaper reports that the Advisory Council of the World Intellectual Property Organization WIPO) met in mid-May 2000. The Council decided to approve the proposal of the Chairman of the Arab Organization for Intellectual Property Copyright Protection Tallal Abu A'zalla to adopt an international set of definitions for intellectual property protection.
The newspaper notes that the representatives of the international organization will participate in the Electronic Commerce Conference, which will be held in Oman in October 2000.
