JORDAN: JPMC TO UNDERGO CORRUPTION INVESTIGATION DUE TO CONTINUOUS LOSSES.(Jordan Phosphate Mines Company Ltd., Arab Potash Company Ltd.)(Brief Article)

According to "Jordan Times", Parliament member Abdul Kareem Dughmi is spearheading an investigation into possible corruption at the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC) and the Arab Potash Company (APC), calling on these bodies to submit reports on their management structures to the Finance Ministry.

In a letter sent to Lower House Speaker Abdul Hadi Majali, Dughmi asked that both the JPMC and the APC answer his points of concern so that he could look into possible "legal infringements." Dughmi has demanded an inquiry into the number of consultants hired by the JPMC and the APC, the date and manner of their employment, whether they were contract or freelance, if they were full time, and their salary amounts, allowances and bonuses, if any.
