CHINA: TREND MICRO AND LEGEND COMPUTER UNVEIL STRATEGIC ALLIANCE.(Brief Article)

According to China Daily (February 13, 2001), Trend Micro, a leading provider of network antivirus and Internet content security solutions, announced that Legend Computer of China plans to offer Trend Micro's InterScan VirusWall as part of a newly-developed server product. This will be launched later in 2001.

Trend Micro will also join with Legend to provide anti-virus technology and services to their customers. Legend Computer is China's leading personal computer maker, with a 27 percent market share and sales of $2.4 billion in 1999. The PC market in China is the second-largest in the Asia-Pacific region. It is also one of the fastest-growing markets and is likely to become the largest market soon.
