QATAR: NATIONAL AIRWAYS INSTALLS NEW "GENERAL ELECTRIC" ENGINES.(Qatari Airways Corp., General Electric Co.)(Brief Article)

According to Al-Hayat newspaper (March 13, 2001), the American General Electric Company announced that the Qatrari Airways Corporation had decided to install the new General Electric C F-6 engine in five Airbus (A 200-330) airplanes belonging to the Qatari national air carrier. The American company also revealed that Qatari Airways has the right to acquire three additional engines of the same category.

The overall costs of the five General Electric engines amount to $120 million.
