Al-Quds newspaper quotes from a statement released at the beginning of August 2000 by the American PC manufacturer Gateway. It announced the appointment of Dr. Omar Al-Jarah (of Saudi origin) as Head of Business Development for the company in Saudi Arabia. The newspaper notes that he plans to collaborate with the branch of the company situated in Cyprus in charge of operations in Southern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The newspaper adds that Dr. Al-Jarah worked 3 years for the Saudi computer company Electronic Concept, which is the sole distributor of Gateway products in Saudi Arabia.
