SAUDI ARABIA: WTO MEMBERSHIP TO BOOST EXPORTS.(World Trade Organization)(Brief Article)

According to Al-Watan newspaper (May 2, 2001), the Saudi membership in the World Trade Organization (WTO) is expected to have a positive impact on the exports of the Saudi engineering industries. The exports of these industries saw an average yearly growth rate of 15 percent during the years 1995-1999.
These exports consist of machinery, electrical and transport equipment, household appliances, electricity and telecommunication cables, spare car parts and various other electronic products.
