The conflict surrounding the role to be played by the president of the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions on the board of the Labor Party is splitting the Confederation's annual congress. "What other organization would reject the opportunity to influence the Labor Party's executive board?" asks Arnfinn Nilsen, chairman of the Norwegian Union of General Workers.
