IPR Strategic Business Information Database, August, 2001
According to Al-Hayat newspaper (August 14, 2001), the financial markets in the UAE recently took a significant step toward regulating exchanges on these markets. The two financial markets in the state, which were established last year, were electronically connected. This initiative enables investors to directly purchase listed stocks on both markets through licensed brokers.
It also allows investors to directly follow-up price changes by computer screens on the stock exchange floors.
