UAE: END OF OPERATIONS OF THE ANRON CORPORATION IN THE DOLPHIN PROJECT.(natural gas supply from Qatar to the United Arab Emirates)(Brief Article)

A-Sharq newspaper reported on the intention of the American energy company, Anron Corporation, to end its participation in the Dolphin Project for supplying natural gas from Qatar to the Emirates. The paper quoted an article published in the Middle East Economic Service (MID) magazine in mid-May 2001 which announced that this decision has already been reached by mid-March 2001.
A-Sharq noted that the Dolphin Project involves the distribution of natural gas from the North Sea marine gas field to a 350 kilometer undersea pipeline from the Ras Laffan area in Qatar to the Tawila area in Abu Dhabi and Jabal Ali in Dubai. Taking part in the project are the American energy company, Offsets, and the French TotalElfFina.
