Alcatel announced it has successfully conducted the supply and the installation of a GSM network for Tunisie Telecom, which covered the Tunis sports infrastructures during the XIVth edition of the Mediterranean Games that took place from September 2nd to the 5th. The network was deployed between June and August 2001 and covered all sports sites including the "November 7th" stadium in Rades, the athletic stadium, the swimming-pool, the Olympic village, the El Menzah football stadium, and the dome that hosted the basketball competitions.
