INDONESIA: INDONESIA TO SUPPLY NATURAL GAS TO PHILIPPINES.(Brief Article)

The Indonesian branch of British Petroleum (BP) and the Indonesian state oil and gas company Pertamina have signed a contract this week with the Philippines for the supply of 1.3 million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per year, IRNA reports. The British company is expected to start production in 2006.
A spokesperson for the company said that the LNG would originate from the Proyek Tangguh field in Berauw Bay in Irian Jaya province. He added that BP Indonesia was also exploring the possibility of marketing LNG to China.
