SINGAPORE: SINGTEL COMPLETES SOUTHERN LOOP OF C2C CABLE NETWORK.(Brief Article)

C2C Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Singapore Telecommunications Limited, has completed the southern loop of the C2C cable network which links Singapore to other C2C landing points. The northern loop, which links China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and the Philippines, was completed last month. With this milestone, the entire figure '8' configuration of the network has been completed.

All the nine C2C cable stations have also been constructed and are now carrying 'live' traffic. The US$2 billion, 17,000 km C2C network is one of the largest cable networks in the world.
