Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper quoted the President of the German Siemens Energy Concern, Klaus Woges, who stated in early December 2001 that the total energy production capability of the station built by the Concern in Saudi Arabia is 7,000 megawatts. He also noted that the working program of the Concern in the Gulf States for 2001-2004 includes building power stations of a total production capacity of 30,000 megawatts and that Siemens owns at least 40% of these stations.
