INDIA: ANSWERTHINK FORMS JOINT VENTURE WITH INDIA'S HCL TECHNOLOGIES TO PROVIDE OFFSHORE DEVELOPMENT CAPABILITIES.

India's IT services major, HCL Technologies, has formed a joint venture with U.S.-based provider of technology-enabled business transformation solutions, Answerthink. The new company, named HCL-Answerthink, will offer custom application development services, on-going production support, application maintenance services and application reporting services.
Ken Coppins, Answerthink's Chief Risk Management Officer, will become CEO of HCL-Answerthink. The joint venture allows Answerthink to significantly expand its business model by combining its skills in business transformation, business applications and technology integration with HCL Technologies' deep capabilities in technology development, software and application engineering and networking.
