CHINA: CHINA UNICOM EXPANDS DIGIQUANT CONTRACT.(Brief Article)

Digiquant, provider of software infrastructure for the communications industry, has announced that China Unicom has upgraded its existing license for Digiquant's Internet Management System (IMS) in support of the carrier's Phase 3 rollout of its VoIP network service. Under the terms of these latest agreements, Digiquant's IMS will be used to manage and bill for post-paid VoIP and Voice VPN services over an additional 1500 E1s.
IMS proved its capabilities in the initial project phases where the solution was deployed to more than 310 cities throughout China. With the completion of Phase 3, IMS will be managing and billing the services for 5700 E1s deployed across China. Using IMS, the operator has been able to deploy innovative Voice VPN services.
