EGYPT: INTEL POSTPONES COMPUTER CHIP MANUFACTURING PROJECT.(Brief Article)

According to Al-Hayat newspaper (February 17, 2002), the American Intel Computer Company has decided to postpone the constructing of a $500 million computer chip manufacturing project in Egypt. Intel planned to establish the factory in the October 6th City. The company informed the Egyptian government that it had decided to postpone the project because of declining global investments in the technology sector due to the September 11 attacks on the United States.
