INDIA: BHARTI TELE-VENTURES EXPECTS REVENUE OF US$328 MILLION IN 2001-02.(Brief Article)

Bharti Tele-Ventures Ltd, the Indian mobile phone company, has announced that it expects to post a revenue of approximately 16 billion Rupees (US$328.6 million) for the fiscal year ending in March, according to Total Telecom. Bharti Tele-Ventures was the first mobile phone company to go public in India.

Bharti Tele-Ventures is a holding company of Bharti Enterprises, a leading telecom conglomerate in India. The company operates six mobile networks, two fixed-line networks. Bharti Tele-Ventures also has licences to start nine more mobile and three fixed-line networks, and has applied to offer international phone services. -(EMEconomy.com)
