America Online (AOL) Latin America Inc., a unit of AOL Time Warner, has announced that it will receive up to US$160 million in investment from AOL Time Warner Inc. AOL Latin America, an Internet company that targets Latin America, has announced that it will issue 11% five-year senior notes worth US$160 million, convertible into AOL Latin America preferred stock, according to Total Telecom.

These notes are to be bought by AOL Time Warner. America Online Latin America (AOLA) offers the AOL-branded Internet service in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.
