Data Access, the Indian unit of Hong Kong's Pacific Century Cyberworks (PCCW) Group, has announced that it plans to offer international calls at half of the price of the current rates. Data Access, the Indian Internet service provider (ISP), plans to launch its international long distance (ILD) phone service on April 14th.

Data Access is one of three companies that have received a licence from the Indian government to enter the overseas phone calls business. Sidhartha Ray, Data Access's Chief Executive, stated "We expect to launch ISD (international calls) service on April 14th.
