INDIA: SATYAM INFO'S NET LOSS RISES BY 187%.(Satyam Infoway Limited, the Indian Internet and e-commerce company)(Brief Article)

Satyam Infoway Limited (Sify), the Indian Internet and e-commerce company, has announced that its net loss has risen by 186.96% to 7202.4 million Rupees (US$147.3 million) for the year that ended on March 31st 2002. This figure was a lower 2509.8 million Rupees (US$51.3 million) in the previous fiscal year.
However, the company stated that its revenue from sales has risen by 28.68%. Sify's revenue from sales amounted to 1577.2 million Rupees (US$32.25 million), compared to the 1225.6 million Rupees (US$25 million) posted in the previous fiscal year.
