USA: RAYTHEON COMPANY, AWARDED CONTRACT FOR THE REBASELINE OF TURBO COOLING.(Brief Article)

(DoD) On April 29, 2002, Raytheon Company, Marlboro, Mass., was awarded a $13,300,000 increment as part of a $258,000,000 modification to a cost-plus fixed-fee-contract for the rebaseline and incorporation of turbo cooling into the Advanced Extremely High Frequency development effort for the Secure, Mobile, Anti-Jam Reliable, Tactical Terminal (SMART-T).
Work will be performed in Marlboro, and is to be completed by Dec. 31, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Feb. 20, 2002. The U. S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J. is the contracting activity (DAAB07-96-C-A757).
