TURKEY: IMF TEAM SET FOR "SECOND REVIEW" TURKEY VISIT.(International Monetary Fund)(Brief Article)

According to Turkiye, International Monetary Fund (IMF) representative Odd Per Brekk said that a team headed by Turkey Desk Chief Juha Kahkonen would visit Turkey on May 15 in order to carry out discussions on Turkey's second review under its standby agreement with the IMF. Brekk said that the team would focus on the achievement of government budgetary and monetary targets.

Brekk also said that if the discussions were completed as planned and the necessary steps taken, then the IMF Executive Board would conclude its second review in mid-June and then release a $1.1 billion loan tranche to Turkey. (Source: Info-Prod (Middle East) Ltd).
