ARGENTINA: 800,000 TELEPHONES LINES CUT DUE TO LACK OF PAYMENT IN ARGENTINA.(Brief Article)

Almost 800,000 clients from Telefonica and Telecom have had their telephone lines cut due to lack of payment in Argentina. This figure is accounts for nearly 10% of the number of available lines by both telephone companies, according to La Nacion. Guillermo Ansaldo, a general manager at Telefonica, stated that of the 4.5 million lines installed by Telefonica, "12% (540,000 lines) have experienced some communication problems." He added that in most of the cases these telephone lines can receive incoming calls but cannot make outgoing calls.
Telecom stated that 10% (of the total of 3,540,000 lines) have experienced some communication problems due to lack of payment. -(EMEconomy.com)
