RUSSIA: CHINA MOBILE PLANS TO LAUNCH GPRS ON FRIDAY.

China Mobile, China's leading mobile operator, has announced that on Friday 17th May it shall upgrade its network and shall launch new services. China Mobile will introduce 2.5 generation (2.5G) mobile telecom services, using a GPRS (general packet radio services) system, to its customers nationwide.

2.5G provides more value-added data services including high-speed Internet access, colourful Internet browsing, e-mail on the move, powerful visual communications and location-based services, according to China Daily.
