RUSSIA: GAZPROM TO SIGN 10 YEAR AGREEMENT ON GAS TRANSIT VIA THE UKRAINE.(Brief Article)

Gazprom, Russia's gas monopoly, plans to sign an agreement with Naftogaz Ukrainy, the Ukraine's national joint-stock oil and gas company on the transit of natural gas from Russia via the Ukraine. The agreement is for the duration of 10 years and will be between 2003-2013, according to Pravada.Ru.

Yury Boiko, the head of Naftogaz Ukrainy, stated that the agreement would be signed on June 21st 2002 when the Russian and Ukrainian Prime Ministers would be meeting. The agreement is to be signed by Alexey Miller, the head of Gazprom, and by Yury Boiko, the head of Naftogaz Ukrainy.
