CZECH REPUBLIC: IT MARKET EXPERIENCES SIGNIFICANT GROWTH.
IPR Strategic Business Information Database, July, 2002
Figures released by research firm IDC show that despite a modest IT services market worldwide, the Czech Republic has shown remarkable growth over the past few years. Spending on IT services in the Czech Republic reached US$689 million last year, or double-digit growth. IDC expects the Czech IT services market to exceed US$1 billion by 2005.
All major international service providers are present in the Czech Republic and occupy leading positions in the market. IBM regained its position as the top IT services vendor in the Czech Republic, replacing PVT. Hewlett-Packard took second position, closely followed by Logica. PVT and Compaq rounded out the top five vendors. - (World IT Report.com)
