South Africa's Mosaic Software has entered a partnership with Finland-based Sonera SmartTrust to allow mobile operators and banks to enable mobile payments via cellphones. Mosaic, an electronic funds transfer processing software company, says more than 100 million people worldwide now have cell phones and as competition for the same market share continues to grow, cellular companies are looking to value-added services to retain their customers and grow market share.
