PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY: PRICE INDEX FALLS ON SECURITIES BOURSE.(Brief Article)

Al-Watan newspaper provided data from the PA Securities Bourse Report published in October 2002 which maintained that the Israeli military operations in the West Bank and Gaza caused the 49% drop in the PA securities price index in comparison to the index for April 2000. The paper noted that the PA Securities Bourse was established in 1995 by PADICO, the Palestinian company for development and investments, which hold 80% equity in the Bourse.
The shares of twenty-four companies are traded on the Bourse.
