A-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper gave details of an emergency program of the Abd al-Latif Jamil Toyota Car Agency for importing spare parts for Toyota cars after the fire in the Agency's warehouse damaged and destroyed the stock of their spare cars. The paper quoted the Assistant Manager for Operations of the Agency, Abd Muhammad Al-Latif Jamil, who told the paper in mid-September 2002 that the Agency organized seventeen cargo flights on the Japan-Jeddah flight line, each flight carried 100 metric tons of spare parts, this in order to stock up on spare parts before the price rise.

He added that the Agency intends to build another spare parts warehouse at a cost of SR 45 million, equal to $12 million.
