USA: BOEING AWARDED CONTRACT TO BEGIN PRODUCTION OF IIF SPACE VEHICLE.(Brief Article)

(DoD) The Boeing Co., Seal Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $156,000,000 cost plus award fee contract modification. This undefinitized contract authorizes the contractor to begin production of the Global Positioning System Block IIF Space Vehicles 1-3. An undefinitized contract action is necessary in order to maintain SV 1 launch scheduled for October 2006.
At this time $58,700,000 of the funds have been obligated. The Space and Missile Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base is the contracting activity (F04701-96-C-0025-P00205).
