A-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper quoted a notice published in mid-October 2002 by the Cisco Systems Computer Company and the Yonifim project announcing the opening of ten Cisco Systems professional training colleges in various locations in Jordan. The paper noted that these colleges will teach Cisco technological systems to about 600 students, 380 of whom are women.
The paper quoted the Manager of Welfare Services in the Company who said that the lack of computer-trained professional manpower is liable to damage industrial development in any country.
