CHINA: CISCO TO PROVIDE CHINA UNICOM NETWORK UPGRADE EQUIPMENT.(Brief Article)

Cisco Systems announced that it will provide China Unicom with packet networking equipment in the later's CDMA 1X network upgrade project, which covers China's 15 provinces including Guangdong, Guangxi, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Hubei, Zhejiang, Jilin, Jiangxi, Shandong, Hunan, Heilongjiang, Xinjiang, Chongqing, Shengzhen and Gansu.
In this project, Cisco will provide PDSN pound sterling[umlaut]Packet Data Serving Nodepound sterling(c), AAApound sterling[umlaut]Authentication, Authorization, Accountingpound sterling(c) and OMCpound sterling[umlaut]Operations, Maintenance & Consolespound sterling(c),which consist of CDMA 1X core network for the upgrade of the backbone.
