IRAQ: CIA, SPECIAL FORCES IN PURSUIT OF SADDAM.(Brief Article)

As the White House moves into what officials describe as the last stage of the showdown with Iraq, the United States is undertaking a powerful military and intelligence effort to track, and possibly kill Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, according to USA Today . In its Sunday edition, the daily reported that this effort includes, among other things, small teams of US special operations forces and CIA paramilitary units inside and around Iraq, satellite imagery, radio intercepts and airborne reconnaissance, according to US intelligence officials.
