According to the DoD., Strand Hunt Construction Inc., Kirkland, Wash., was awarded on March 11, 2003, a $13,924,706 firm-fixed-price contract for CLR016 central heat and power plant upgrades and baghouse. Work will be performed in Clear, Alaska, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2005.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 137 bids solicited on Oct. 1, 2002, and four bids were received. The U.S. Army Engineer District, Alaska, is the contracting activity (DACA85-03-C-0004).
